Shonali recruited her brilliant friend DJ Chris Devoe out of Atlanta to remix Up All Night, the first single off of Shonali's One Machine At A Time.

Check out Chris' bio: "Inspired by childhood memories of jazz records and soul 45's, Chris Devoe creates moods which are both dreamlike and abstract. He is a veteran of Atlanta’s music scene, bridging the city’s underground hip-hop, indie and experimental camps as a DJ and a member of the hip hop duo Social Studies, the band Warsaz, as well as a solo project called With The Moon. He has performed in many of Atlanta’s most popular art and music venues, including 529, Capsule, Eyedrum, The HIGH Museum, Atlanta Contemporary Arts and Mammal Gallery.

As a self-taught musician, Chris' music reflects a life-long interest in diverse genres of music and art, as well as a dedication to designing melodies that honor the contributions of every instrument. His creative process is unmistakably informed by his knowledge of acoustic instrumentation and sampling, bringing the warm textures of analog sound to his distinct electronic style. As a solo artist, Chris has shared the stage with various performers, including Roberto Lange, LebLaze, Dabrye, Richard Devine, Machinedrum, Shigeto, Mykki Blanco and many others. He has also toured internationally in Japan for the music label Arepaz/Beta Bodega Coalition, releasing an album and a number of 12 and 7 inches for the label."

Shonali releases a cover of the song Private Revolution, reminiscent of the Prince inspired electronic World Party original released in 1986. As a huge fan of singer-songwriter Karl Wallinger (leader of World Party/former Waterboys member), Shonali knew upon Wallinger’s passing in 2024 she had to record one of his songs. “I was always drawn to his songwriting, his one of a kind soulful voice and his commitment to environmental activism early on when no-one was talking about saving the planet.” I love so many of Wallinger’s songs, but this song especially captures the moment we are in now, a time in which we are the ones who must make the change that we want to see in the world.” [ You catch the “We all want to change the world” in a round at the end of the song - shout out to Revolution by the Beatles?]

BRAND NEW SINGLE OUT FEB. 21, 2025: Shonali’s statement on Subways Hum: “A common thread amongst those of us that are drawn to the chaos of the big city is that even while existing in the middle of a crowd of people, we must still find moments for introspection. There are rhythms to our daily life, which become a part of the landscape in which our minds wander, which include the honking of cabs, and the symphony of sounds emerging from our subways. I wrote this song as I was feeling the loss of great loves in my life and thinking about how transformative love can be while literally feeling the reverberations of the subway under my feet. It felt like I had no choice but to call the song Subways Hum.”
